i think the expectations that most parents put on their children are far too high. do this, do that, go here, go there. they understand scoring a goal and a basket and a touchdown, even a homerun. you can try to teach them until you’re blue in the face, but some just aren’t going to ‘get it’ by any means. but there’s one, e, one kid sitting in the back of the class with a beautiful piece of work, and he’s only doing it for himself, and enjoying it. but he isn’t saying much, as artistic kids are prone to keeping their mouths shut. so look for him. that’s what i ask of you…
no, actually, they’re all doing beautiful work. you have no idea, it’s amazing. but they don’t know it.
